How is the Diploma of Digital Marketing different to the Advanced Diploma of Digital Marketing?
The diploma qualification builds skills in planning, running, and evaluating digital marketing campaigns. It’s great for people looking to become Digital Marketing Managers. On the other hand, the Advanced Diploma builds on this foundation to teach you more advanced skills. In the Advanced Diploma, you’ll learn how to prepare and analyse multi-channel marketing strategies. The Advanced Diploma of Digital Marketing also builds skills in more advanced areas of digital marketing such as annual marketing budgets, Google Ads, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). If you’re newer to digital marketing, or wish to build a more comprehensive understanding of digital marketing, consider studying a double diploma. Apply to study the Diploma of Digital Marketing for 1 year and the Advanced Diploma of Digital Marketing the following year. You can apply to enrol in both courses when completing your online application form.
Can I apply this course to my own workplace?
Yes! If you’re currently working in marketing, or have your own start-up or small business, you’ll have the option of applying your practical assessments to your workplace. You’ll also have the flexibility to choose to use provided case studies for each assessment instead.
How long does it take to complete the course?
The Diploma of Digital Marketing has designed to be completed comfortably within one year. If you study in-person at ABCI’s Sydney CBD campus, you’ll complete this course over a series of 4 terms. Each term consists of 9 weeks. View ACBI’s academic timetable to see more information on term dates. If you are a domestic student (an Australian/New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident), you may choose to study this course in a 100% online, flexible format. You’ll receive a suggested study plan that guides you through completing the course in 1 year (50 weeks). However, if your circumstances allow, you can finish each unit more quickly. For example, it is not uncommon for our domestic students to complete this qualification in 9 months or less. What kind of projects or assessments will I complete?
You’ll complete a series of 8 assessments. Each assessment consists of some short-answer knowledge questions and a series of practical tasks. For example, these practical tasks may require you to:
  • Plan and implement a digital marketing campaign
  • Write copy (text) for a range of different advertising formats
  • Implement strategies to increase a business’s online sales
You may use case studies for your practical tasks. Or, depending on the task, you may be able to use your own workplace or start-up. Your Trainer will be on hand to guide you through each assessment. By the end of the Diploma of Digital Marketing, you’ll have a range of practical examples that you can share with your current or future employers.
