What is the online learning experience of this course like?

When you study your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with ACBI, you’ll gain access to a range of online learning content and resources that you can work through in your own time. Alongside this, you’ll be supported by regular Zoom sessions where you can collaborate with other learners and gain insights from an experienced VET trainer.

ACBI’s Certificate IV in Training and Assessment has been structured so that you’ll complete five modules:

  • Module 1: Operate in the VET Sector
  • Module 2: Deliver Vocational Training
  • Module 3: Assess and Validate
  • Module 4: Online Training and Assessment
  • Module 5: Mentor in the Workplace

How long does it take to complete this Certificate IV?
ACBI’s Certificate IV in Training and Assessment has designed to be studied flexibly online. When you enrol in the course, our academic team will provide you with a recommended study plan for completing the five modules. You’ll have one year to complete your five modules.

I’m a trainer who already has a TAE40116. Should I complete this course?
If you have existing training experience and hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, it can be a great idea to upgrade to the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Gaining the newer qualification shows you’re committed to your professional development. Completing a TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment can also build your skills in areas you may not have previously covered in your TAE40116 qualification, such as teaching students online, assessing online-based assessments and using the 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
I’m a trainer who already has a TAE40116. Will I get any Credit Transfer or Recognised Prior Learning?

If you have existing training experience or hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, you may be able to gain Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) for some units of competency. For advice on CT and RPL customised to your unique situation, connect with a Course Advisor.

Is there any funding available?

This course has been approved by Services Australia for Youth Allowance and Austudy Centrelink payments for eligible domestic students.
