Emilia de la Sienra
Emilia is an experienced trainer and independent consultant in environmental management and sustainability. She offers more than two decades of expertise in education, research and project management and has developed her skills across a range of respected organisations, including the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the University of Sydney.
Over the past decades, Emilia has built up a wealth of experience in sustainability that spans across a number of countries and initiatives. Within Australia, Emilia has contributed to Sustainable Future projects, including a City of Sydney Waste Education Action Plan and ISF Transformation Hub, a training centre for sustainability focused on short courses for the general and non‐academic public. Internationally, she has acted as a Sustainability Consultant on Climate Change Adaptation for the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America. She has also participated in a number of international conferences, including delivering a presentation for the 9th International Conference on Sustainability and Social Responsibility.
With a strong interest in transformative learning for sustainability, Emilia is a passionate and dedicated trainer. Believing there is a global urgency to explore more sustainable ways of existing on Earth, she thrives on empowering her students to contribute to improving organisations’ environmental impacts. Emilia is a problem‐solver who aims to empower students to generate workable alternatives to resolve common environmental challenges.
