Sonia King
Sonia’s leadership career spans more than 25 years across HR, finance and education. She has led recruitment programs in SME and enterprise settings, directed projects and built client solutions in executive search and business development. Through Realise Business, a government initiative, she has taught employers how to navigate Fair Work Agreements and National Employment Standards.
As a vocational facilitator, Sonia brings nine years of experience in the VET sector delivering a range of business qualifications, including the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management, the Diploma of Business and the Diploma of Project Management. She has facilitated workshops for groups of up to 100 people, including for Gymnastics NSW conferences, and has experience in creating online courses to help business owners grasp employment law fundamentals.
With more than two decades in Australian Human Resources (HR), Sonia specialises in turning complex employment obligations into clear, workable practice. She holds deep knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards (NES) and award interpretation, and has helped leaders implement compliant processes for recruitment, performance, change and workplace relations.
